Every publisher in this industry sells the same fantasy: we'll make your book a bestseller. I won't. And I think saying so out loud is the most honest thing a publisher can do.
It isn't cruel. It's arithmetic.
In the US alone, more than four million books were published last year. That is roughly eleven thousand a day. The average book — traditionally published, backed by real money — sells fewer than a thousand copies in its entire lifetime. Ninety percent of titles from the biggest publishers on earth never cross two thousand. Roughly three in four self-published authors earn under a thousand dollars a year from their books.
So when someone promises to turn your manuscript into a bestseller, understand what is being sold: a lottery ticket, dressed up as a plan.
I decided I wasn't going to sell lottery tickets.
Most people who write a book aren't chasing a chart.
They've carried a story for years. They want to hold the thing. They want their name on a spine, a copy in their parents' hands, a book on a shelf that quietly says: I did this.
That's not a smaller dream than a bestseller. In most ways it's a truer one.
So I built a company for them. For the ninety-nine percent this industry quietly disappoints, because it sold them an outcome it was never able to deliver.
The one thing we can control
What we sell is the experience of becoming an author, done with the care it deserves.
When your book is ready, it doesn't just get uploaded and abandoned. It arrives. A certificate. Your author copies, and an Author's Kit box worth opening. A memento you keep. A proper video for the book, author pages that actually exist, a presence a reader can find. Support that doesn't vanish the day the invoice clears.

I'm not the polite version of the vanity press — the kind that takes your money, ships a nice-looking book, and goes quiet. The care is real, or it's nothing.
And I will never inflate numbers to close a sale. If your book finds a large audience, wonderful, and we'll do the honest work to help it be found. But I won't sell you that outcome as a promise, because no one honestly can.
We don't treat a wedding as a transaction. We don't treat a first home as a transaction. Publishing your first book belongs in that company — a milestone that deserves to feel like one.
That's the company I'm building. Not for the one percent who were always going to be fine. For the ninety-nine percent who deserved better than a fantasy.
